Considering working from home but worried about hitting that moment where you have “sold” to all your family and friends and can’t even think of another person to contact?!
In the beginning, building my essential oil business was rather simple. I was passionate about Young Living products and others noticed the positive changes we were making in our family and wanted to join in. Often in direct sales or personal consulting businesses, after you reach the initial wave of people you know, your business begins to plateau. This is where I am thankful that I learned rather quickly it couldn’t just be me trying to teach others about essential oils. If I wanted our success to continue, I had to make it about helping others reach who they knew, and then helping them reach who they knew… and so the word continued to spread.
Now that I have over 700 people in my organization, it can be difficult to keep up with everyone. We have had great leaders that taught us to make your system DUPLICATABLE- so it is simple to teach others to do what you do. If you make sharing oils complex, very few will do it. But, anyone can grab a product, pamphlet, or product guide and tell their friend why they love oils. And not only do I think you have a moral obligation to help someone if you know what could be a benefit to them, but I have also found great success in this method- “Love it? Share it!”
In addition, keeping up with what’s in demand and new in your field helps keep others on board and draw in new interests to avoid that leveling out in your business growth. Below are a handful of ways you may find helpful in bettering yourself and your business!
